In Case You Noticed My Absence...

Just to explain why I've been missing in action for the past week or so, last Friday, my mother-in-law passed away after an eight-month battle with brain cancer. We are still sitting shiva, which has naturally taken up the time and energy that I might have spent here. I do want to write more about this but I feel I need to clear my head before I tackle such a post. I'll be back in a few days. Thanks for checking in.

I'm so sorry, Tania. I'd hoped you were off having fun, instead. But you take all the time you need, honey, and have a hug from me.

Hi. I hope you're doing a bit better.

When I make my next post (today or tomorrow) this will get bumped off my first page, and I wanted to make sure you'd seen it. Because "you do" :)

Sending you and your family condolences. I'm very sorry. I read your later post about your MIL. I think you did a marvelous summing up. Hugs.

I just read your post titled "A Farewell Note" and actually had tears in my eyes as I read it. So very sad. You write so well. I should know the correct Jewish phrase you say in time of death (being Jewish and have more than enough funerals in the past few years) but it's lost on me tonight. All I can say if that you and your family should be well. You will take care of the family and your MIL will be so proud.
